Software Engineering and Pervasive Computing

First Workshop on Software Engineering for Pervasive Computing Applications, Systems and Environments (SEPCASE'07) at ICSE'07
http://sepcase.cs.umn.edu/

Citation Counts and All

Interesting presentation from Prof. Friedemann Mattern, certainly very active in the pervasive computing area, about citations and what they mean in the Computer Science community. Certainly, writing good survey papers is a good way to raise the citation count! Or work in an area with a large research community with a habit of citing each other!

Interesting that many Turing Award winners are not as cited as one may like them to be... quality of their work I think there is no doubt.

New book on Pervasive Computing

A new book entitled "Pervasive Computing" is upcoming Jan 2008:

Might be written by some IBMers - not sure...
